ok. so here is an idea: The apple of the web

What do I mean? 

A company that offer web services that look great, always works, is a bit expensive, you can brag about having (exclusive), etc. Just like Apple on hardware this company would be making services but on the web..

You are thinking well Google is doing that but no they are not. They offer free ad based services that look bad and is designed by nerds.

Yahoo comes closer but is also a free service , not something exclusive.

Reading the news from Mobile World Congress today I got fed up with the whole idea of big corporations handing down their services to us at an event like this. Voila! here you go, take it or leave it...they are still doing these things to us, not with us..

On the positive side :) everyone is now offering an app store and that is going to give more power to consumers to choose..

Idea to the title of this blog came from a great talk by charles Leadbeater @ Picnic08 - We think the Power of Mass creativity. 

His argument is that corporations need to change from doing things TO people to do it WITH them. He argues that the internet is changing how people see services and that we no longer want pre-packaged, one size fit all goods, but instead services and products that are designed together with us.
